In the Spring of 1998 Elder Ogburn started attending a small Bible Church in Nashville, TN. The fledgling church was in the midst of it's leaders cloaking their sins with the liberty of Christ. At the time Elder Ogburn had not been called to the pastoralship of the church, but was elected President of the Board of Directors. After a 3 year term he was re-elected and called as an Elder of the church as well. There were many members of the Nashville Church of Grace driving from Dickson to worship and after much prayer and meditation Guy & Leanne Ogburn, answered the call to plant a Church of Grace in Dickson, TN in August of 2006.
The Church of Grace mission is to,
"Glorify God And
Proclaim The Name Of Jesus Christ In Our Community".
We are an evangelical church with an emphasis on family evangelism and benevolence to the community. This church leadership/missionary team has carried the gospel door to door from Managua, Nicaragua to Dickson, TN, and will accomplish it's mission through the power of the Holy Spirit in three separate, but equal ministries. Ministry to God, the saints, & the lost.
We believe that the Bible is the divine word of God, salvation is a free gift by faith in the efficacy of the atoning blood of Jesus Christ, & sanctification is an event, (justification at salvation) and a process.
The doors to God's church are always open to you in whatever condition you may find yourself in. Whether you are active in His workmanship or your sins, everyone is always welcome, at the Dickson Church of Grace!
